Allegan Argonauts were led to their 33 point victory by a 377 point effort from Steven Jackson, who beat the Detroit Lions defense for 149 rushing yards and 1 rushing td in addition to 17 receiving yards. They also got help from a 348 point effort from Ray Rice, who got by the Denver Broncos defense for 84 rushing yards and 1 rushing td in addition to 24 receiving yards.
"We brought our A-game," Allegan Argonauts coach Dave Quarry said.
Fleet Footed Phenoms were helped out in a losing cause by a 469 point effort from Aaron Rodgers, who got by the Minnesota Vikings defense for 287 passing yards and 3 passing tds in addition to 52 rushing yards. With this performance, Rodgers was the number 1 ranked quarterback for week 8. They also got help from a 296 point effort from Steve Smith, who snuck past the Philadelphia Eagles defense for 68 receiving yards.
"We got a wake-up call," Fleet Footed Phenoms coach Chris Reiter said.
Compounding the issue, Fleet Footed Phenoms could have scored 2092 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Chris Reiter left key players like the Philadelphia Eagles Defensive Team and his corresponding 285 points on the bench.
This brings the record for Allegan Argonauts to 4-4, and drops Fleet Footed Phenoms to a record of 5-3.
Coming up in week 9, Fleet Footed Phenoms are at the 4-4 Ballin', where Ballin' are an early 461.9-point underdog, while the 4-4 Bay City Rollers are at Allegan Argonauts, where Allegan Argonauts are an early 75.9-point underdog.
